Education

Steve is passionate about good quality education, support and mentoring.  Steve has been a visiting lecturer at four universities across Cheshire and Merseyside since 1996 and regulary teaches on a number of Masters modules.  He is currently a visiting lecturer at the University of Chester teaching mainly on commissioning and nursing modules.  He also provides mentorship to both junior and senior clinical and non-clinical NHS staff.

Between 2001-2004 Steve held a part-time teaching post on the MSc in Clinical Nursing Programme at The University of Liverpool.  During his time at Liverpool he had the pleasure and honour of support and mentorship from Dr Leslie Woods, Annaliese Woods, Sue Dobson and Pauline Alexander.  He finished his three years at Liverpool University as the lead for the assessing health needs module. Since 2004, Steve has been a regular examiner of medical students on their 'objective structured clinical examination' assessment at The University of Liverpool.

Steve also provides independent education on a variety of subjects from developing the role of the advanced nurse practitioner through to commissioning for outcomes.  Steve teaches at Diploma, Degree and Master's level.  Please contact Steve if your organisation requires education or training.
